A: Erinnya lyo ggw’ani? (What is your name?)
B: Erinnya lyange nze Nnakafeero. (My name is Nnakafeero.)
Nva Kyadondo. (I have come from Kyaddondo.) Banzaala Kyadondo (I come from Kyadondo.)
A: Ooo! Ova Kyadondo? (Oh! You have come from Kyaddondo?)
B: Yee, Ssebo. (Yes, sir.)

A: Oli Munnayuganda oba oli Munnakenya? (Are you Ugandan or are you Kenyan?)
B: Ndi Munnayuganda. (I am Ugandan.)
A: Kaakati Nnyabo, ogenda wa? (Now Madame/Miss, where are you going?)
B: Kaakati, ŋŋenda Masaka kulaba ku bakadde bange. (I am going to Masaka to see my parents.)
A: Ooo!
B: Mmm.
A: Olidda ddi? (When will you return?)
B: Ŋŋenda kukomawo ku Lwokubiri. (I am going to return on Tuesday.)
