Lesson 45 – Interrogative ‘ki?’

A: Ova mu kitundu ki mu Amerika? (What part of America do you come from?)
B: Nva mu New York State. ( I come from New York State.)
A: Kati obeera mu kitundu ki mu Uganda? (Now where do you stay in Uganda?)
B: Mbeera mu kibuga kya Hoima. (I stay in the town of Hoima.)
A: Okola ki mu Hoima? (What are you doing in Hoima?)
B: Najja mu Uganda kusomesa. (I came to Uganda to teach.)
A: Ooo! Oyagalayo mu Hoima? (Oh! You like being in Hoima?)
B: Mmm. Bwentyo bwentyo naye njagala nnyo okuddayo mu Amerika. (Mmm. So – so/Okay but I really wish to be back in America.)

T: Kaakati, osoma kitabo ki? (What book are you reading now?)
S: Nsoma ekitabo ky’okubala. (I am reading a book on mathematics.)

A: Leero, omulwadde yaagenze mu ddwaliro ki? (Today, which hospital did the patient go to?)
B: Omulwadde yaagenze e Mulago. (The patient went to Mulago.)
