Jjo wawandiika ebbaluuwa? Nedda jjo saawandiika bbaluuwa. (Yesterday, did you write a letter? No, yesterday I didn’t write a letter.)
Jjo wagenda mu kibuga? Nedda jjo saagenda mu kibuga. (Yesterday, did you go to town? No, yesterday I didn’t go to town.)
Jjo wagenda mu ssineema? Nedda jjo saagenda mu ssineema. (Yesterday, did you go to the cinema? No, yesterday I didn’t go to the cinema.)
Jjo walya kyaggulo? Nedda jjo saalya kyaggulo. (Yesterday, did you eat supper? No, yesterday I didn’t eat supper.)
